Clay Court Maintenance
Smoothing out the court surface after each match is a standard procedure for every clay court player. Every court should be equipped with one drag mat to encourage players to level the infill after each play.
Drag mats are available to suit every budget. From economical hard wood rod types with single layer nets of 115cm width to aluminum rod types with extra heavy double layer nets in 150cm width. We have the drag mat that is right for you.
All drag mats come complete with pull cord. We also offer replacement parts for repair.
The Australian product Cleansweep is a high-end drag mat that not only evens out the clay surface but also cleans leaves and debris in the process. This drag mat is suitable for clay courts and as a cleaning device for most artificial grass courts and asphalt tennis courts.
Did You Know
More than 30 years ago, the drag mat was invented as an alternative to the drag broom. Initially, a tennis net was cut to size and pulled across the tennis court with wooden slats and a drawstring. This make-shift drag net was so successful that its use quickly spread.
